Hotel...
And yes, I'm eyeing this particular Hotel. I'll probably book a room around 2nd week of Nov, once everything's confirmed. :)

During a Typical Day at the Office
Just as we were packing up to leave the office for home (or off to somewhere to spend the start of the weekend), here's a funny and touching scene about my personal roadmap -
Mommy Joy (my make-up mentor): Pia, ang payat mo na! Nag-mamaarte ka na. [She said this with a smile on her face.]
Me: Of course! And nagsimula 'to sa pag make-up [last 2009]. Ngayon, nagpapapayat naman ako.
Mommy Joy: Onga e, hindi mo nga ako pinansin 'nun nung sinabi kong next step naman ang magpapayat.
Me: Ah, really? Haha. Cyempre hindi ko na un narinig. Or kinalimutan ko. [With a grin on my face]
So, ano kaya ang next sa roadmap ko? Hmm...
Mommy Joy: E 'di mag dress ka!
Me: Bukod dun? Kasama kasi yun sa roadmap e.
Matet (a colleague listening to our discussion): After 'nun, certified Bakla ka na!
A round of laughter follows. :)

Project Runway
Losing weight is a victory in itself. I am happy with how I have instilled the discipline to watch what I eat, cut down on how much I ingest, and inject physical activities into my weekdays. It has taken me a lot of will and courage to change my lifestyle, but it's not futile.
My efforts have all been worth it. Of course, the 23 pounds would say it all. Add on the boost coming from people congratulating me for a job well done and not to mention the self-confidence meter slowly gearing up.
But of course, it doesn't stop there. Losing weight meant clothes are suddenly becoming baggy. My blouses suddenly look too big for me. Previously could-barely-be-buttoned-up-pants start to look like they're pajamas.
Next thing I knew, I was rushing to the seamstress every week just to have my clothes mended (of course, in batches). Blouses had to be cut a bit to show off the curves. Pants had to be constricted for them not to look like home clothes.
And that's when Project Runway was born. I knew this was my chance to revitalize my wardrobe. Of course, this is the perfect opportunity to do just that! And though it meant spending a lot on clothes, it is very welcome and encouraged. Because I'm gonna be spending on smaller-sized clothes this time, not the other way around! :)
Who am I to let that opportunity slip by? Of course I won't! And that I made sure just as I went on a shopping spree a couple of weeks ago, buying several clothes at a time, trying on as many as I want. Yes, it hurt my pockets a bit, but I didn't mind at all. Just finding out I was two sizes smaller more than compensated for how much I spent!
And just today, I went ahead and bought three pairs of jeans. These are a bit more expensive than blouses, but the happiness it gave me just by knowing I am three sizes smaller is incomparable and definitely priceless!
Now, it doesn't end here. This is a journey which I intend to stretch on a bit further and I am ready for how it would be in the next few weeks. In fact, I am excited to see where I could bring myself to in the next few months. :)

How come we never get contented?
Yes, we don't ever get contented.
We pray and ask God for something, then say that if He gives us what we ask for, we will be happy and we will do anything just to have that. And then He grants our prayers. We become happy for the moment. The moment may last a few minutes, a few hours, a few days, or maybe even weeks; when we feel like it, stretches to even months.
But it doesn't last for too long. And that baffles me. That frustrates me - how I know that I have to be contented and happy for what has been given to me yet feel that for just a fleeting moment. Next thing I know, I'm searching for something else again. Even as I pour out these thoughts now, I know I have to be contented, and yet I'm not.
Seriously, it's easier said than done. Better to start somewhere; just focus on what I have and be happy at the moment. Stop projecting. Live in the moment. Don't project and worry. It won't get me anywhere.

passing time at an internet shop
funny. never thought I'd do this, but I am passing time at an internet shop.
why? well, simply because we'll be picked up around 8:30pm and it's only 8pm now. it won't be wise to go back home, so better spend it here instead.
but anywho, I am happy for our dinner. had Crabs, Soy Chicken, Yang Chow rice, and Fish Lip soup. yumyum! :)

enchanted kingdom today...
just got back from enchanted kingdom. super uber tired! gosh.
arrived there at 3pm, lined up for tickets for almost an hour and got in to a very jam-packed EK...
there were so many people, on a tuesday! who would have thought that there are a lot of employees on leave on december 29th?! oh well, the rides' queue were so long it would take at least 40 minutes just for one to experience a ride.
all we wanted was to get to ride the space shuttle and rio grande, but never got the chance to... *sigh*.
but it was a great night, we spent the day with family so we just enjoyed what time we had together. :)
note to self: next time, don't go to EK during peak season.
