Project Runway

Losing weight is a victory in itself. I am happy with how I have instilled the discipline to watch what I eat, cut down on how much I ingest, and inject physical activities into my weekdays. It has taken me a lot of will and courage to change my lifestyle, but it's not futile.

My efforts have all been worth it. Of course, the 23 pounds would say it all. Add on the boost coming from people congratulating me for a job well done and not to mention the self-confidence meter slowly gearing up.

But of course, it doesn't stop there. Losing weight meant clothes are suddenly becoming baggy. My blouses suddenly look too big for me. Previously could-barely-be-buttoned-up-pants start to look like they're pajamas.

Next thing I knew, I was rushing to the seamstress every week just to have my clothes mended (of course, in batches). Blouses had to be cut a bit to show off the curves. Pants had to be constricted for them not to look like home clothes.

And that's when Project Runway was born. I knew this was my chance to revitalize my wardrobe. Of course, this is the perfect opportunity to do just that! And though it meant spending a lot on clothes, it is very welcome and encouraged. Because I'm gonna be spending on smaller-sized clothes this time, not the other way around! :)

Who am I to let that opportunity slip by? Of course I won't! And that I made sure just as I went on a shopping spree a couple of weeks ago, buying several clothes at a time, trying on as many as I want. Yes, it hurt my pockets a bit, but I didn't mind at all. Just finding out I was two sizes smaller more than compensated for how much I spent!

And just today, I went ahead and bought three pairs of jeans. These are a bit more expensive than blouses, but the happiness it gave me just by knowing I am three sizes smaller is incomparable and definitely priceless!

Now, it doesn't end here. This is a journey which I intend to stretch on a bit further and I am ready for how it would be in the next few weeks. In fact, I am excited to see where I could bring myself to in the next few months. :)
